2019 Las Vegas Pizza Festival

First-Ever Las Vegas Pizza Festival Coming November 16

Pizza lovers in the Las Vegas area have reason to celebrate. Coming November 19 is Sin City’s first-ever pizza festival, appropriately named the Las Vegas Pizza Festival.

Presented by the Las Vegas Pizza Alliance, the Las Vegas Pizza Festival brings together some of the area’s top pizza makers to showcase their pies and provide a taste of the variety of pizza that Las Vegas has to offer.

“The Las Vegas Pizza Festival is founded on the principles of building a community through handcrafted pizza on local, authentic level,” the festival’s website said. “The festival is founded by some of Las Vegas’ most prominent chefs who are establishing the city as a destination for pizza lovers through creative applications of America’s favorite food.”

It is said that there will be around 20 of the area’s best pizza makers on site, headlined by Tony Geminagni of Pizza Rock. Vincent Rotolo of Good Pie, John Arena of Metro Pizza, and Gio Mauro of Pizzeria Monzú are also listed as involved.

“Vegas doesn’t have its own style of pizza,” Vincent Ritolo, owner of Good Pie, told the Los Angeles Times. “We’re transplants from all over America who brought their hometown pizza styles to Vegas and do that style really well, whether it’s Buffalo style at Naked City, Roman at Monzu or Detroit at Pizza Rock. We’re finally at a tipping point where we are becoming known as a pizza town.”

In addition to Pizza Rock, Good Pie, Metro Pizza, and Pizzeria Monzú, the first-ever Las Vegas Pizza Festival is said to have Naked City Pizza Shop, Dom DeMarco’s, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, Old School Pizzeria, and Brooklyn’s Best Pizza signed up.

The idea behind inviting these pizza makers is that each provides its own style of pizza, and it is showcasing those unique styles that is one of the goals of the Las Vegas Pizza Festival.

The Las Vegas Pizza Festival is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. PT on Saturday, November 16, and tickets go on sale in August. Tickets start at $45 for the general admission option and go up to $85 for the “Pizzaiolo” (VIP) option. VIP entry begins at 12 p.m. PT. According to the festival’s website, “Admission includes unlimited samples of Detroit, Sicilian, New York and a dozen other unique styles of pizza as uniquely imagined by each chef.” The festival will be held at the INDUSTRIAL event space and a cash bar will also be available.

Top Vegas Pizza plans to attend and stuff our faces full of all the pizza the best in Las Vegas have to offer.
